Ramblings of a Grower: 1

Hi everyone, Alexa here. First off, do not get any wild expectations for this blog series, it quite literally will be whatever ramblings I have for that moment. Also know that I haven’t written for funsies since college, so this may be a little rough around the edges until we get a good flow going. Some days this may be about plants, some days bugs, some days my frustrations with technology (foreshadowing for today’s blog there). So if you’re listening, here we go.

I studied biology in college, I took one online class while I was there and let me tell you, I hated it. I am not a computer person, in the slightest. The most I ever use my computer for is the occasional excel sheet and some gaming–emphasis on some.

So here I am, updating the website for the farm, and let me tell you, its horrible. I have no idea what I am doing. I used this publishing site once while in college, and all I had to do was upload a small text post to an existing blog, it took me like three hours. If you live anywhere near Sussex, you may hear a large amount of yelling and swearing. Do not be alarmed, its probably just me trying to figure out how to get a picture to not be in a random corner of the page after I moved one thing.

And do not get me started on the amount of spam comments these blog posts get. The website hadn’t really been touched in awhile when I took over, approximately 7800 spam comments just sitting in “pending” purgatory with more rolling in every hour. As if spamming blogs about lettuce is really going to sell your scammy car insurance.

Anyway, not a very long ramble today, but I didn’t want to frighten you all away. Time to go enjoy this fine Saturday and bully my boyfriend into stopping at a plant nursery and buying more plants.
